This has been my go to chocolate cake recipe since quite some time now. It always turns out just the way I like my chocolate cakes: moist and chocolatey! At first, the whole idea about putting mayonnaise in a cake batter freaked me out, but then I decided to give it a shot. In my head I was thinking, “whats the worst that could happen anyway? My chocolate cake could turn out sweet and salty, but heck! That does not sound bad at all! I love to mix sweet and salty together all the time! So why not!” In all honesty, I’m kind of glad that I did not chicken out from trying it. The cake turned out perfect and simply deeeeelicious! Fearful is the last thing you want to be in your kitchen. You have to keep trying new things. Even if it does not turn out the way you expected it to be, oh well! It’s still food and still edible. Someone will eat it! lol. So anyway! Here’s the chocolate mayonnaise cake recipe.
