Salted Caramel ChocolateCakewSalted Caramel Chocolate CakewI used my trusted chocolate mayonnaise cake recipe for the base of this cake. I absolutely love chocolate! Chocolate will be my choice of cake any given day. It is (IMO) the best flavor there can ever be! Pair it up with another amazing flavour: salted caramel, and voila! You’ve got a whole lot of magic going on in this little cake. I started making my own caramel sauce when I realized that the only way I’ll eat an apple everyday is if it dipped in caramel sauce. Kind of defeats the purpose, I know! Lol. But it worked well! Then I decided one day to mix it in my buttercream icing and omg! Was that my best decision ever or what! Love this icing! You should definitely give it a shot! :D

You can use part of this icing recipe to make the caramel sauce for your ice cream, filling cupcakes, over your brownies, you name it! Drizzle some on your desserts to enhance the flavor by 10 times! If you’re short on time, you can  use a store bought caramel sauce and skip to the icing part of the recipe. This icing is best used for filling when soft, but remember to chill it before you serve if you want your delicious layers of cake to stand out distinctively from your icing :D
